eMpire | PS3 tonight won the GB playoffs after a 2-1 victory over Relax Gaming. eMpire, who consist mainly of [AeS] Adept-eSports members went into this match as heavy favourites after their impressive victory over a very stong H2k team in the Semi-finals. Their opponents Relax Gaming (formerly known as Creeping Death) had a more straight forward route to the finals but gave eMpire a great game. eMpire | PS3 :gb: Goona | Fluxy | Commanda | ukpfc Relax Gaming :sj: dGaddy | LommeX | Angelx | Leivset Map 1 Scrapyard Demolition eMpire 2-1 Relax Relax started the demolition very well holding Defence quite comfortably. On attack there was one point where Relax had both bomb sites down at once, but they failed to capitilize. eMpire had racked up more kills and therefore were given the the easier defensive spawn and eMpire took full advantage maaging to hold off both bomb sites for the 3mins to take the map. Map 2 Invasion Search and Destroy eMpire 3-4 Relax Leivset did a nice 1v2 to get the first round for Relax and they soon made it 2-0. eMpire then won 2 in a row to bring it back to 2-2. Relax then came out with a strong attack round to go 3-2 and then eMpire took it to OT when CoMManDa came out on top in a 1v1. But Relax came out and attacked well in OT to take it to a decider. Leivset played very well. Map 3 Terminal Cap the Flag eMpire 1-1 Relax After applying most the early pressure Relax were unable to capitilize and were punished when eMpire managed to bring a flag back mid way through first half. After half time eMpire seemed to switch to a 4 man defence and Relax struggled to touch their flag. However, their perserverence paid off when they managed to level the scores with just 20 seconds left to force the Replay. Map 3 Replay Terminal Cap the Flag eMpire 3-0 Relaxin eMpire were much more aggresive this time capping a flag within the first minute and then again just before half time. Relax went all out after half time, but eMpire countered well and managed to pick up another flag mid way through the 2nd half to seal them the GB playoff title. yh good game eMp, we were pretty pleased with making it to the finals, but we wanted that trophy!! :(
eMpathy eMpire would of been a better final but we got beat by the Portuguese :(. The battle of the eMp's xD
Yeah was a great game, fairly even and we thought we threw it away with you managing to get a last gasp flag cap on terminal, but we managed to come out on top. Shame that SpAnKy got a trophy despite not being eligible and not playing at all lol
