A lot of older clips were used as I've had them on my laptop for ages, quality of them is a bit diff at times as well due to having different people record. Was quite good as a montage, but in all honesty (not being a dick) expected better clips from you Dan, like there's some nice stuff in there and good that you filled 5mins, but just seems like, most are vs dW or random pickup teams etc, and we know you're better than that. As you say you are the most achieved PS3 player, and because of that would've expected to see a bit more quality clip-wise. I'm pretty sure alone from games we've played vs you, you've had some better spawntrap clips than any in that montage. And you put a random 2 piece in vs DN? But yeah I understand it was just a load of clips you had, not your best clips. Good effort
Intro was brilliant imo, love the bit of drama effect with lan comms. Any genre of music can work but you need something with a decent beat or anything, so you could make clips more interesting with good syncing, which couldnt really work with this song which made it quite boring.
Ye as Finch said it was a 3 piece :P and ye the clips weren't greatttttt, weren't awful imo but def coulda been better/vs better opposition. Main reasons they weren't were because; 1. As I said they were all my old clips/ones stored in file share for ages that I wanted to get rid of, and when file share is full I kinda just wait til they get recorded rather than deleting clips to make space for better clips, which I could do but I'm lazy and it's effort 2. The role I play I find it hard to get good looking montage clips, I can show you people spawning in front of my aim on Dome if you wanna see spawn trap clips but that just looks shit to me 3. When we play better teams/players I don't play as aggressive so again less chance of good looking clips
Screamo I've started to like but in all honesty though that was poor mans emo metal before. Asking Alexandria > all though! As well as The Browning (for montage use) if you aint heard em. I loved the vid and thought it had better music than most vids though these days. Seeing as Voka just started out with his new comp, program ad RNX just two weeks ago this is good stuff. Can't wait to see what he pulls out with some more training :) Also nice stuff Dan!
Thanks guys for all the good feedback! Many of you guys talked about the music and judged it, but the truth is, I use the music I personally like in my edits, its easier for me to work with that, when I don't get annoyed by the tune. Resulting a better looking edit. And as Dan said before, Im really a starter on the editing scene, this was basically my first big edit on the pc and with all the new software. Looking forward to working with Dan and the whole RoughNeX team again! - Voka.
As I said to Dan on skype, my only criticism was showing the flag run on like Dome after the 3 piece. There were no kills in between and even though flags are good, for entertainment purposes nobody wants to watch you run a flag for 10 seconds with no gunfight in between. Looking forward to seeing further RNX tages.
